Family: Xeniidae
Description: Grows with a thick stalk and a large multi-polyp covered head. One of the finest pulse corals I have ever seen. It has an attractive white/cream tone and large fluffy hands.Care: Low to average water flow with MH lighting. Will tolerate less light but this will limit the growth. Been in captive propagation program since 2006.

We have acquired another strain of Xenia that we did not have. The yellow encrusting Xenia is doing very well and we will start propagation of this new specie soon.

Family: Xeniidae
Description: The polyps are not retractable, but do have the distinctive eight-leaved tentacles associated with all of the members of this family. They are colonial animals, and form a creeping mat. Some have thicker stems and when several polyps are present on their leathery base, they resemble a cheerleader's pom-pom.
Care: Low to average water flow with PC or MH lighting.
Been in captive since 10/07. Will start propagation on 12/07.
